OpenWardrive ships under two distinct open-source licenses, one for the source code and one for the contributed observation data. Please respect both.

Source code — AGPL-3.0

The OpenWardrive application source code is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or (at your option) any later version.

• You are free to copy, modify, and redistribute the code.
• If you run a modified version of the service over a network, you must make the complete corresponding source available to your users (AGPL §13).
• There is no warranty; the license includes the usual AGPL disclaimers.

The full license text is committed at the root of the github.com/jaylikesbunda/openwd repository as the LICENSE file.

Observation data — ODbL-1.0

All public network records contributed to OpenWardrive are released under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0.

• You are free to copy, distribute, transmit and adapt the database.
• You must attribute OpenWardrive and its contributors.
• If you produce a derivative database, you must release it under the same ODbL license.
• You may use the data commercially, subject to the share-alike terms.

When displaying or publishing data sourced from OpenWardrive, please include a credit such as: "Map data © OpenWardrive contributors, licensed ODbL-1.0".
